Shift Engineer, Plymouth £32,000

 If so, we’d love to hear from you as our client is looking to recruit an Engineer to join their food manufacturing business based in Plymouth. This role is permanent days, Monday to  Wednesday 6am – 6pm and every other Sunday.  

Key responsibilities for the role of Shift Engineer:

  • Own, implement and complete a reactive as well as planned maintenance programme, delivering first class service to support production.

  • Assist with developing and implementing line improvements, as well as recording and documenting all findings.

  • Ensure all work is compliant with health, food safety and environmental requirements.

  • Work as part of a team to ensure all targets are met not only for the department, but for the wider business.

  • Communicate effectively with the Engineering Manager on all engineering and production issues.

The successful candidate for the role of Shift Engineer:

  • A good understanding of electrical engineering as well as mechanical engineering.

  • Previous experience of working in a fast paced, food manufacturing environment is essential.

  • You must be able to be hands on with machinery as well as being able to find faults in a pressurised environment, making the right decisions for the business.

  • The ability to work under own initiative as well as work as part of a team.

Salary: £32,000 plus benefits
